Child's Play NY After School Acting Classes: Now in Fort Greene!!

School has started and now it's time for all the after school fun! Child’s Play NY, a theater program for 3-11 year olds has added a new class in a new location; Magical Travels for 3-5 year olds at  Cumbe  Center for African and Diaspora Dance, 558 Fulton Street, in Fort Greene. At the same time they are offering a parent and me Baby Drumming for little siblings. Classes start on Monday, September 24 and the first class is FREE!

Magical Travels! 
ages 3-5
Magical Travels is geared to 3-5 year olds who are ready to let their imagination take them on a fantastic journey. From the land of the dinosaurs to outer space, the little actors will adventure across enchanted worlds and even travel through time! Child’s Play will show their students how to use theater to explore cultures and characters in history, science and nature.

Baby Drumming
ages 0-2.5 years
While the big guy is showing off his inner Shakespeare, you and the little one can have a blast in this Baby Drumming class!

From the myths of Greece to the fables of China, adventure with us to exciting lands rich with legends and characters.  We’ll sing, dance and (of course!) act our way across the map.  Pack your imaginations and off we go!

Fairy Tale Improv

ages 3-5

Brush off your crown and practice your roar! Let’s discover what happens between “Once upon a time” and “Happily ever after” as we adapt our favorite classic and contemporary fairy tales.

Shakespeare Players: Hamlet
ages 7-11

St Francis College, 180 Remsen Street, Brooklyn Heights
Jocelyn Greene directs with assistance from Stephanie Janssen (MFA – NYU) and movement/fight choreography from Kelsey Kurz (Juillard).  All Shakespeare Players teaching artists are classically trained professional actors and have performed Shakespeare both on and off Broadway and in regional theaters across the country.
